Ingredients

Ingredients for green chilaquiles recipe
  • 3 cups tortilla chips (totopos)
  • Doña Chonita Green Chilaquiles Sauce Add
  • El Gallo Mexican Restaurant-Style Jalapeño Taquera Sauce Add
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • ½ white onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup sharp white cheddar cheese
  • 4 strips crispy bacon
  • 2 tbsp chopped chives
  • 2 tbsp sliced green onions

Recipe Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and chop, leaving one tablespoon of bacon fat in the pan.
  2. Add Doña Chonita Green Chilaquiles Sauce and El Gallo Jalapeño Taquera Salsa to the skillet and simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  3. Add tortilla chips and gently toss until coated with sauce.
  4. Sprinkle shredded white cheddar cheese and cover the skillet until melted.
  5. Serve topped with bacon, sour cream, sliced onion, chives, and green onions.
  6. Optional: add a fried egg for a hearty brunch version.
